Yolanda Jinxin Ma was previously the Head of Digital Policy and Global Partnerships at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Based at the UN headquarters in New York City, she led the development and implementation of an inclusive digital transformation framework and its related products, collaborating with partners from private sector tech companies to donor governments.

As an award-winning cross-disciplinary professional, Yolanda has been actively teaching and promoting data journalism and digital technology for impact through online courses, offline workshops, and public speaking engagements.

She previously worked with UNDP’s Asia Pacific regional office in Bangkok for five years, focusing on social innovation and impact investment. Yolanda started her career as the South China Morning Post’s first social media editor, building social media practice and citizen engagement experiments. She later joined Thomson Reuters in Hong Kong to work on a data visualisation project on China’s leadership structure.
