JMSC Suggestions Cited by Government in Report on Copyright Law Reform

A JMSC position paper urging increased legal protection for creators of parodies and similar literary or artistic expression was repeatedly cited by the Hong Kong government in its report on a recently concluded public consultation on copyright law reform.

Two Veteran Journalists from Top U.S. News Organizations Join JMSC Faculty

Two seasoned journalists from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times have joined the Journalism and Media Studies Centre as Adjust Professors. Adam Najberg (WSJ) will be teaching a course on financial journalism, while Brian Zittel (NYT) will teach opinion writing. Both stress the importance of "telling a good story."

Award-winning photojournalist Alex Hofford will speak at the University of Hong Kong's Journalism and Media Centre this Thursday, Nov. 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The occasion will be an informal Q&A session with the students of Associate Professor Miklos Sukosd's "Environmental Communication" class, Room 101, Eliot Hall.
