The talk is about his new book Water Asia’s New Battle Ground.

About the book: “The battles of yesterday were fought over land. Those of today are over energy. But the battles of tomorrow may be over water. Nowhere is that danger greater than in water-distressed Asia.”

He has held appointments at Harvard University, the Brookings Institution, Johns Hopkins University and the Australian National University.

He is the author of five previous books, including Asian Juggernaut: The Rise of China, India, and Japan.

The talk will form part of Professor Miklos Sukosd’s Environmental Communication class on Friday morning.

Students from Professor Ying Chan’s China media class as well as Professor Thomas Abraham‘s International News Class are strongly urged to attend.

Other MJ students should also use this opportunity to listen to and ask questions of a leading thinker and commentator.
