Course description: If you already have a basic knowledge of online media skills, beef it up with this hands-on guide to setting up and using interactive (or web2.0) tools and techniques, these include visualisation, live and micro-blogging, live streaming, mapping, crowdsourcing and audio-visual displays. Diane Stormont, senior teaching consultant at the JMSC, veteran journalist and an internet consultant and entrepreneur, will lead the course.

Course Prerequisites: A working knowledge of 1. WordPress / other blogging platforms 2. Basic HTML/CSS/FTP 3. Basic image/photo‐editing software (eg Photoshop) techniques 4. Basic recording and editing audio skills

Date: June 27 – 29 (Mon – Wed)
Time: 10am – 1pm, 3 mornings
Course fee: $3,500 / $2,000 for HKU staff, students and alums
