JMSC Research Seminar – Understanding Online Public Opinion in Hong Kong

Drawing on data collected from a set of online forums and social media, Dr King-wa Fu will explore the characteristics and patterns of public opinion about the Hong Kong government in this public seminar.

Fu devised an “online sentiment score” to apply to discussions and postings on various forms of social media, including online forums. He will compare the results to those from traditional public opinion polls.
