Public Lecture: Aftershock Journalism: The revolution in reporting on violence and its aftermath

Almost daily, we’re reminded the world is a dangerous place: earthquakes in Nepal, riots in Baltimore, the Islamic State in the Middle East, religious persecution in Myanmar. So how do today’s journalists tell the stories of our violent world in ways that are both relevant to us, regardless of where we live, but also move us to empathy rather than paralyzing us with despair?

Master of Journalism student to launch new Hong Kong-focused English news outlet

Concerned by growing restrictions on press freedom in Hong Kong and the lack of credible alternative English-language news outlets, JMSC masters of journalism student, Tom Grundy, has teamed up with another journalist to launch a new, independent online newspaper called Hong Kong Free Press.
