Jean-Francois joined the Journalism and Media Studies Centre at HKU in 2025. For most of his career, he was a business and technology journalist covering industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronics, and semiconductors across Asia. Over the years, he has interviewed thousands of sources, including hundreds of CEOs, CFO, CTOs, financial analysts, and other industry figures. A native of Montreal, Canada, JF has lived in Taiwan, Japan and China for four decades and considers Hong Kong his home.
