Four JMSC students, Alice Kong (BJ 2026), Wisley Lau (BJ 2027), Francis Cheng, and Christina Liang (MJs 2026), were invited to attend The Chief Executive's 2025 Policy Address on Wednesday, 17 September. Check out their experiences at the press conference.
"It was a pleasure to be invited by JMSC to attend this year's policy address press conference," Alice expressed. While Lau is impressed by "how reporters were able to ask hard-hitting questions."
"I was amazed by the passion and focus of the journalists there, how they stayed alert and sensitive to every detail throughout the event," Liang shared.
"The biggest takeaway was realising the importance of mastering multiple languages as a journalist in Hong Kong," Cheng said. "What impressed me the most was when the assistant announced, 'We can now take one question in English,' and almost all the raised hands in the room went down, leaving just one reporter, who naturally got to ask his question."
