BBC x AI – How the BBC approaches the age of GenAI?

Are we approaching the age of Generative AI? Since the skyrocketing popularity of AI in 2023, there have been countless discussions on how AI can revolutionise our world on both sides of the spectrum.

To help us understand how media corporations utilise GenAI, the JMSC invites Peter Archer, a trailblazer leading the BBC's work on GenAI, to share his expertise and insights on how the media giant approaches this emerging technology.

With over 14 years of experience at the BBC, Peter has embraced emerging technologies in his previous roles as the director of digital strategy and corporate strategy, leading the development of mission-critical strategy, including the BBC’s long-term plan, funding settlement, portfolio management and emerging technology.
