Ting Shi joined the Journalism and Media Studies Centre at HKU in 2018. Previously, she was a Hong Kong-based Senior Correspondent with Bloomberg News, covering China’s elite politics, political economy, and foreign relations. She also served as China Editor at the South China Morning Post for four years. Since 2021, Ting has been the Head of Judges for The Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) Awards, the preeminent journalism awards in Asia. She holds an MA in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
