Cherry Lai has over a decade of experience in journalism. She began her career as a reporter at Chinese-language newspaper Ming Pao before joining the local public broadcaster Radio Television Hong Kong as a radio news reporter, covering health care policies and medical news.
She first joined the Journalism and Media Studies Centre as an editor of Annie Lab, the student-led fact-checking newsroom at JMSC, and later she also worked as a teaching assistant for fact-checking classes.
Cherry holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Hong Kong Shue Yan University and a master’s in AI and digital media from Hong Kong Baptist University.
