Navigating Political Journalism and High-Stakes Interviews

The JMSC invites Sandra Maischberger, one of Germany's most renowned political journalists and talk show hosts, to share her perspective on the art of high-profile journalism.

She will discuss her latest documentary "Riefenstahl" and how she gained access to share the story of Leni Riefenstahl’s complex relationship with the Nazi regime. Maischberger is a master at conducting high-stakes interviews with prominent personalities and we are excited to get a deeper look into her process.

The session will be moderated by JMSC director Ruby Yang and DFS programme director Uli Gaulke.

Sandra Maischberger is a well-known German journalist, TV host, author, and film producer. Since 2003, she has hosted the political talk show "Maischberger" on ARD, featuring top politicians like Angela Merkel and Olaf Scholz. Her latest documentary "Riefenstahl" premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival and won the "Premio Cinema e Arte" award.
