Yenni Kwok has worked as a journalist for nearly three decades.  

She started her journalism career at the Jakarta Post in Indonesia before moving to Hong Kong to join Asiaweek magazine in late 1997. She later worked as a reporter and a copy editor at various international media outlets, including the South China Morning Post, CNN, the New York Times, Time and Storyful

Most recently, she was an editor at AFP Fact-Check in Hong Kong, editing reports from the Asia-Pacific region, launching the Indonesian- and Malaysian-language websites of AFP Fact-Check, and managing teams of reporters in Indonesia and Malaysia.  

She contributed as a co-author to the paper, “Information Disorder in Asia and the Pacific: Overview of Misinformation Ecosystem in Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.”  

Yenni has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States and a master’s degree in social sciences from the Universiteit van Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
