Rusty Todd began his career as a reporter and copy editor at The Daily Texan in Austin in 1968. He is former state editor of the Austin American-Statesman; city editor of the Columbia Daily Missourian; reporter at The Asian Wall Street Journal; news editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal; regional development manager, Asia-Pacific, for Dow Jones news products; and founding editor of the Dow Jones Emerging Markets Report, a financial newswire.
He sits on the board of the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund and holds a doctorate from Stanford University. He has been married more than 30 years and has two daughters, both born in Hong Kong. He teaches editing and business journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and Hong Kong University.
