The Master of Journalism programme exposed me to the multitude of skills expected of a modern journalist that goes beyond good storytelling: video journalism, understanding online misinformation, working with data and marketing your content. I joined the programme practically not knowing what doing journalism meant. But in just nine months, I was ready to report on stories with the journalistic rigour needed in a world where readers constantly question what they read.
