University Hall was declaed as a monument in 1995. In the history of the building of the University Hall, there are three main periods: Douglas Castle, The Nazareth House and Univerisity Hall. University Hall itself, long before Hong Kong goverment launch the scheme of revitalization of historic buildings, has already been revitalized by the University of Hong Kong, converting it to a residential hall for university students. The following is a slide show regarding its brief history and the viewpoints of current residents on this revitaliztion product.
