Chungking Mansions
Chungking Mansions is a famous building in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. In 2007, TIME magazine selected it as the “Best Example of Globalization in Action” in Asia. It is most famous for its cheap back-packer hotels. But it is also a magnet for ethnic minorities and even asylum seekers. This soundslide is about an asylum seeker’s story with Chungking Mansions. He calls the building his home away from home.
