We've built this site to showcase the work of undergraduate and graduate students taking the Online Journalism class at the University of Hong Kong's Journalism and Media Studies Centre.

This fall our graduate student class is focusing on Hong Kong's heritage. We will be telling our stories with multimedia slideshows, text, images and audio. The geographical location of their stories will be annotated on the Google map here.

Please have a look, and post comments, questions, and suggestions in the comments section of each story that you'd like to discuss!

Note that stories were lightly edited for clarity.

You can also view the work of our fall and spring 2007 classes via the left-hand menu. Last fall students covered the District Council Elections on November 18, 2007. In spring 2007 they carried out in-depth reporting on how Hong Kong has changed since the handover to British rule ten years earlier.

jmsc-195px-trans.png All content on this website is the work of undergraduate and graduate students taking the New Media Workshop course at the University of Hong Kong 's Journalism and Media Studies Centre , under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Rebecca MacKinnon.

The student stories have been lightly edited for grammar, spelling, and English-language usage by the instructor, with minor formatting adjustments made in some to make the website consistent. However the substance of each story is the work of its authors.  If you have reactions or corrections to any of the content please post a comment at the bottom of the relevant story.
