Besides of more and more gay and lesibian organzaitons established in Hong Kong which are active in the gay rights movement, the new media also provide a room for people to discuss the topic and exchange information. Websites of many NGOs like Rainbow Statition have already drawn the public's attention and gradually become a platform for people to communication. And In-media is one of them.

 

In-media which is a website established in 2004, mainly works on pushing the development of democracy and social motion in Hong Kong. They pay attention to all kinds of social affairs which are related to the social development. And Gay issue in Hong Kong is always a hot topic in their agenda.

 

chowszechung.jpgAlthough some people criticizes Inmedia in Hong Kong didn't play an important role in anti-discrimination of gay people as Inmedia did in many other regions,Chow Sze Chung, one of the editors of Inmedia as well as the founder of this new media considers that Inmedia indeed gave people who holds different opinions a space to communicate with each others reasonably on this topic. And he also believed this kind of media has already affect people's attitude more or less.

In his audio, Chung talked about his understanding on gay issue and what the in-media does as a platform for people make dialogue on this topic.(Cantonese audio)
