3. I have some problems concerning finding law cases. I tried to find XX v. YY case on Westlaw which I entered through HKU library, but failed. It shows no such case exists.  And this also happens to other UK cases I tried to find. Either I can’t find them or no full text avaiable. So could you kindly offer me some advice on how to find UK’s cases througn Westlaw or other online database?
For international cases,  please try Westlaw International, which is linked when you sign into Westlaw HK (a small link on the upper right corner). If you have trouble finding particular cases you may wish to visit the law library for research help.

2. It was mentioned in our final class that we had two weeks and a day to complete the assignment.  Yet the deadline on the website and question paper is next Wednesday.  Also, whenever the deadline is, next week or the week after, might it be possible to deposit the hardcopy by 6.30, otherwise the deadline for working students will effectively be the previous evening, since getting to HKU by 5pm will be impossible for those with jobs?  (Or perhaps we could email you the assignment by 5pm sharp, and deposit the hardcopy later that evening, after finishing work?)

The deadline for the final exam is Wednesday, 2 May. This is the only date that has been given on the syllabus and on the exam itself.

To accommodate working students, the deadline for submission will be extended to 6.30pm.

1. I have a question regarding the final exam paper. In Part A, Question 2, the question is how the court in the US and/or China would handle the action if the article was published in those countries. So is it Wong, the subject in the article, still a police officer in HK? Or Wong would be a police officer in those countries in question 2?

You have some flexibility on the optional Question 2.A. You may treat Wong as either a Hong Kong police officer or as an officer in the jurisdiction  in question as long as you clearly state your assumption at the start of your answer.
