You are writing a news bulletin for a Hong Kong based radio station that covers Hong Kong news and also news from Mainland China.

There are ten stories to choose from about China and Hong Kong.

Pick 6 stories that you think are important and put them in order of importance – remember your audience is likely to be interested primarily in stories about Hong Kong. However, they will also be interested in big stories about China.

It is often nice to end on a slightly upbeat or quirky story otherwise a news bulletin can sound very heavy and dull.

Once you have put them in order write them up into stories of 3 lines each.

Make sure you space between the lines – this will make it easier to read.

Start your bulletin with:

“This is Radio Hong Kong news at 12 o’clock with me xxxxx”

And end your bulletin with:

“That was the news at 12 o’clock with me xxxx”
