Tomorrow’s lecture will be on the sources of international news: where does international news come from, and who decides what events become international news. You do not need to do any reading for the lecture, but in the second part of the class, we will analyse the New York Times story on Iceland that I distributed at our first class, Read it carefully, and we will discuss what the original source of the story might have been, how many sources were interviewed, is there any missing information and a few other questions. Please read this before class.
Also, I expect all of you to send me the topics you want to write your two news stories on.
See you tomorrow.
