Peter W. Marolt

Peter W. Marolt, Ph.D. Candidate, University of Southern California Department of Geography, having lived in China for over half a decade and currently wrapping up his Ph.D. at USC’s Department of Geography, Peter has long been interested in issues pertaining to China’s Internet culture. In particular he is dying to know more about ‘shared meanings’ and how these continue to thrive in our increasingly fragmented world. Peter’s academic interests include social theory, cultural and political geographies, and related post-disciplinary studies that have to do with China, ICT, and globalization.
