Jack Linchuan Qiu

jack-linchuan-qiu.pngJack Linchuan Qiu is assistant professor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He researches on information and communication technologies (ICTs), class, globalization, and late capitalism in the contexts of China and the Asian Pacific. His English and Chinese publications include more than a dozen of research articles, chapters, and essays, some of which have been translated into multiple languages and circulated by international organizations like UNESCO and UNITAR. Dr. Qiu co-authored the book Mobile Communication and Society: A Global Perspective (MIT Press, 2006), co-edits the Chinese Journal of Communication (Routledge, since April 2008), and is writing a new book about working-class ICTs in urban China (MIT Press, forthcoming).
