Daphné Richet-Cooper

daphne-richet-cooper.pngDaphné Richet-Cooper holds a MA in Chinese Studies from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). She has studied Mandarin for two years both in Beijing and Kunming and has conducted research on the history of opium trafficking between Yunnan and Indochina (1885-1911) as well as on the making off of the sino-burmese border and the question of trans-national ethnic minorities. Her interest then shifted to the  representations of these trans-national minorities on the internet. She is currenlty doing an internship at the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China (CEFC) based in Hong Kong and writes critics on China-related books for a French website : www.nonfiction.fr
