Ashley Esarey

ashley-esarey.pngAshley Esarey received his B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College in Los Angeles and Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University in New York. He has spent roughly seven years living in China, Taiwan, and Japan is now Luce Fellow of Asian Studies and Assistant Professor of Comparative Politics at Middlebury College. His principal research utilizes quantitative and qualitative approaches to understanding the role of mass media, the Internet, and blogging in Chinese politics. In 2008-2009, he will be completing a book manuscript on this subject as An Wang Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University.
