We are production company based in Los Angeles that needs to book a professional cameraman that is fluent in English on July 11-13 for a casino sponsored event in Macau. Please own your own HD or HDV camera with professional sound (lavalier) and LED light. The camera can be HVX200, EX1 or 3, XH-A1, or any other camera that can achieve 1080 @ 60i (XDCam or DVCam/DVC Pro or HD CAM). Please no 24P or 24F. We will discuss delivery and specifics after you are booked. We may need beta dupes. Please be familiar with all aspects of the camera: light temperature, framing, filters, wireless microphones, LED lights, etc… We require a professional with broadcast experience who can handle high stress situations and excels under pressure. Freelance Photography Journalist

and dymanic on-line media company aiming to showcase the most creative
and original street fashion around Hong Kong.

We are now looking for freelance journalists who can capture the
latest fashion for us using their cameras. A minimum of 20 photographs
(with a person in full profile) is required per month, each with a
note listing the brands of various brands and accessories the person
is wearing. The photographs and the note will be uploaded to our
website, where readers can vote and rank for the best.

Photographers will be paid according to relative ranking calculated by
the number of votes and ranking of their photographs, up to $2,000 per
month.

SCMP Reporter, “Special Reports”

A fulltime position is open now at the South China Morning Post’s Special Reports desk for a young, energetic and ambitious journalist.

The person will be involved in all aspects of journalistic work, covering everything from banking to education, property and lifestyle, producing broadsheet, tabloid and glossy supplements. Here is the job description from the SCMP:

Reporter, Special Reports

Duty:

  • Reporting to the Associate Editor of Special Reports, the incumbent will report on general topics, including social issues, finance, human interest, services and products and conduct research for some of the supplements.
  • The right candidate should understand newspaper design as responsibilities include organising photo shoots and suggesting photos for publication.
  • Those having an understanding of finance, the property market and/or education will be at an advantage.

Requirements:

  • University graduate
  • Native English level of writing
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese
  • Minimum two years’ experience in English-language reporting and feature writing with articles published in print
  • Experience in doing research for articles
  • Disciplined, team player with high degree of self-motivation, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
