The Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) is now accepting entries for the 2013 SOPA Awards for Editorial Excellence.
Each year, the SOPA Awards honor the best journalism in print, digital, and new media in the Asia Pacific. Entries may be submitted by writers, journalists, editors, designers, and photographers from the region.
The JMSC has been the administrator of the awards since 2011.
The award categories include Excellence in Investigative Reporting, Reporting Breaking News, Business Reporting, Human Rights Reporting, Reporting on the Environment, Feature Writing, Opinion Writing, News Photography, Feature Photography, Editorial Cartooning, Information Graphics, Multimedia News Presentation, Lifestyle Coverage, Explanatory Reporting, and Excellence in Magazine Design.
There is also an award for Journalist of the Year (年度记者奖) and The Scoop Award (独家新闻奖), which honors an exclusive story.
The deadline for entries is February 15, 2013. The Awards Ceremony will be held in Hong Kong on June 6.
