Rusty Todd comes to the University of Hong Kong from the University of Texas Journalism School, where he is a professor specializing in editing and business journalism. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University. Todd lived in Hong Kong for nine years in the 1980s and ’90s, when he was a reporter and news editor at The Asian Wall Street Journal and an executive with Dow Jones/Telerate. He was founding editor of the Dow Jones Emerging Market Report. Earlier, he served as state editor at the Austin American-Statesman and city editor at the Daily Missourian at the University of Missouri. Todd and his wife Sarah have two daughters, both born in Hong Kong.
